Apartment Search: Look for Apartments You Can Have Fun With

Apartment living can be a lot of fun, but it can have its headaches as well. Living in an apartment can be fairly easy to budge. But there can also be some unthought-of expenses as well. Living in an apartment is also kind of like living in a community within a community.

Because an apartment is a small space, it is easy to turn into a home. All you need are a few pieces of furniture, some decorative items that fit your personality and presto you have a home. The small space also allows you to change your decorating style on a whim if you like. However, some unforeseen costs can also rack up when you are new to apartment living. Because an apartment is a small space, you have a drastic reduction in the amount of storage that you may be used to. The rooms in an apartment are also smaller as well as the bathrooms that are also smaller than what you would prefer. The lack of storage can be easily remedied with the purchase of closet organizers or free-standing organizer. Living in an apartment, you want to maximize as much space as possible.

When it comes to organizing small spaces you have a lot of options available to you. Closet organizers come in a variety of styles, allowing you to find one that will work perfectly for your needs. There are also organizers that are free-standing, such as wardrobes that can be used for hanging your clothes in case your closet is on the small side. And for the bathroom, there are shower caddies that you can hang in the shower if you don’t have much shelf room for your shower accessories. There are also over-the-toilet storage units that also provide extra cabinet space for your bathroom necessities.

Apartment living also provides you with a ready-made community of people who share, at least in part, your interests and hobbies. For instance, if you are a college student, and your apartment is close to your school, then it is a safe bet that other college students live there as well. Or, if you chose your apartment because it has a superb fitness facility or other amenity that it is well-known for, then chances are that other tenants also chose it for the same reasons. Because of this, apartment living is much like living in a small community.

Apartment living allows you to practice with different decorating styles without spending a fortune. It also allows you to become quite adept at organize within small confines so that you can maximize as much space as you possibly can. The apartment community can also be beneficial because you have a really good chance of meeting other tenants who share your same interests.

Help answer the question about college apartment living

What is a list of monthly bills for a college student living in an apartment on her own?
I'm a college student who just turned 24, and I live with my fiance. I'm thinking of getting a job, leaving and moving out on my own, which i've never done. I moved out of my mom's straight in with my fiance at 19. What bills should I look forward to paying once I'm out on my own? I plan to get an efficiency/studio apartment with my 6 cats.

Unless you have the financial end taken care of, you'll need to work while you go to school. Kitsilano and West End are the most fun and diverse areas for your age. They are both near downtown. Both have everything you need within walking distance. You might consider roommates – lots of people here are able to live in a nicer place by sharing it with others. Would be best if you could come down and check it out yourself and get a feel for each area. Air fares are really reasonable right now with lots of sales.

    Hi !
I'm a French girl leaving in Nantes.
Nantes is a nice town with a very long history (well, like any other French town ;-) . What I have often heard from foreigners is that Nantes is a little Paris, but cleaner ;-)
You can have long walks downtown, there is a lot to see. Lots of shops, cafés, restaurants, and so on.
You can visit the "Château des ducs de Bretagne" and its museum. You also have a very nice "Musée des Beaux-arts" to see old and modern paintings, it's gorgeous…
The place where young people meet is the "Place du commerce".From there, you can go everywhere.
If you like parks and gardens, you can go to the "Jardin des plantes" (French style) or to the "Ile de Versailles (Japanese style).
The symbol of the town is its tramway, you can use it to go everywhere in town.
the "Nantais" can look cold to you if you know only people from the South of France, but are very warm compared to people from Paris (they're nice and they smile…).
If you get to know them, you won't be disappointed.
Nantes' history is connected to the history of Bretagne, and we still have lots of traditions coming from there (go to a "Fest Noz" for example, it's a traditional dance contest where you can also taste our "crêpes" and "galettes" (mmh, delicious).
And Nantes is not far from the Atlantic (about 40 minutes by car, but you can take the bus or the train). People often go to the seaside on week-ends to rest or to sail, to have picknicks when the weather is good, etc.

I read a good portion of this, but not all. It seems to me that you are writing about some things you don't know, like four-year old girls (any children around that age), and motels, and perhaps time.

Examples: children that age aren't 'lazy' or 'lying around a lot.' Not at all. Also, there is no way a four-year old could have been in all those different places and even remember them enough for you to write something like 'she didn't want to live somewhere for a whole year.' Kendra would barely know what a whole year feels like.

Also: there are lots of extra 'y' s on words (especially the word 'the'), and you first refer to Eliza's eyebrows as raising 'my single eyebrow'… (see how that sounds?)
And when you mention Kendra's new friend as having something to do with killing, I thought Kendra's mother killed her, not the conclusion your character makes.
And if a motel room is on the third floor, it will not have a number that starts with '1,' nor have I ever heard of any motel or hotel door having a 'cat door' in it. And why does this one?

RE: dreams, staying awake, people to search for or not… The part about each person dreaming the other's life has been almost done in, in movies at least, most recently by one which stars Emma Thompson and Will Farrell, though she is a writer writing his life.
Suggest you stick with things you know, at least in details.
Keep trying… keep practicing, and keep reading.

only the lost can't remember or find the question…….
    Very well put……
Yes we all need to be the one who cares and loves as Jesus did….for God is love and what would this world be like without love?
If everyone would help a friend or neighbor in need this world would be a different place to live.
Jesus picks special people to help spread His word and you were picked…how blessed.
