Of all the seven United Arab Emirates, Ras Al-Khaimah is one of the top Emirates in which to live. After all, it’s everyone’s dearest wish to live in a house, neighborhood, town and region which makes you happy and fits in with your lifestyle and Ras Al-Khaimah is one of those areas which manages to do this for a great range of people.
For a lot of people their definition of happy living involves a touch of luxury. This might involve lavish gold marble staircases and indoor Jacuzzis, for others it might simply mean a large garden or a first floor balcony. Whatever your idea of luxury is and whatever your budget might be, there’s likely to be something in Ras Al-Khaimah to suit your desires. The name of this emirate translates into English as ‘top of the tent’. The word ‘tent’ we’re not sure about as a large percentage of the properties here are luxury apartments, but ‘top’ we do agree on it.
As it’s just north of the United Arab Emirates’ largest city of Dubai (which is a strong contender in the market of luxury apartment condominiums and coastal resorts) Ras Al-Khaimah has a prime location for anyone to settle down in. There are several brand new and pre-construction luxury apartment buildings in Ras Al-Khaimah right now, with a range available to rent or buy at all times. The designers, owners and letting agents are very understanding about what buyers are looking for in a luxury property and this is exactly why a large majority of the buildings (for example ‘The Cove’ and ‘Mina Al Arab’) are hailed as beach resorts and are in very close proximity to the coast, with staggering views over the Persian Gulf.
If, however, you’re looking for inland properties that are closer to city life and out of the way of the bustling coastal tourist industry, then look to developments such as Julfar Towers. Located just outside the heart of the city center, this $109,000,000 two-tower development offers a range of different apartments (studios to 4 beds), private parking, a crèche and a gym.
Don’t forget that with its very own airport, a beautiful creek and over 200 thousand inhabitants, the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah as a whole has everything going for it. From cultural beauty and unique gastronomy to great transport links, plenty of job opportunities and top-notch amenities like health departments and shopping malls.
It is the location right on the coast of the Persian Gulf and on the western tip of the United Arab Emirates peninsula that makes Ras Al-Khaimah the ideal place for luxury properties and extravagance. The nearby city of Dubai gives it extra charm and having such a bright and lively area so nearby is always an advantage. If you’re looking for a luxury apartment, villa or house in the Middle East them look into one of the many property developments along the shore of Ras Al-Khaimah. There’s a bound to be something that takes your fancy.

Bad credit score and applying for luxury apartment homes?Ok here is the deal. I am a 23 yr old female that graduated in May. I was late enough on one credit card in college that it got reported to a credit bureau and affected my score. Now it is in the low 500s. I make good money for the amount of rent for nice places (50k- average rent=780). I now have to move to a new city that I am unfamiliar with because of work. For that reason I really want a nice apartment for safety reasons and convenience. I have been looking in planned golf/country club communities with restaurants and stores in walking distance. I applied to one, but got denied. Will this be the same story for all nice "luxury" apartments. I really don't want to live in a dump or an area that is not in a nice neighborhood.

We have these expensive hotels and we also have people who can’t get food…
Social inequality, in less words.
Fight hard, work hard, do not indulge, save every cent, don’t eat too much meat, save all money possible and send your children to good universities, make them study hard and work hard… then hopefully they will be successful and they will have luxuries………. that’s life.

more flexibility in room design without a fixed light. they figure that you can add lighting where it is needed with table and floor lamps. i've seen a lot of apartment bedrooms without ceiling lights for the same reason. well that didn't come out sounding right, nothing meant by it though. the main thing is flexibility in furniture placement. good luck, enjoy your new place.
Hello!
I also live in the EV right now and am having the same problem (tired of old tenements but I love the vibe of the neighborhood). Unfortunately, the cheap price of the East village and LES goes away when you start looking into doorman buildings. Since there are much, much more old school buildings than nicer ones (like in most other manhattan neighborhoods, Gramercy and Tribeca are good examples), these buildings command a much higher price. But here are some good buildings to look into:
143 Ave B (bw 9 and 10) The Christadora House (famous ppl live here so its $$$)
245 E 11th Street (no name)
394 E 8th Street (laundry facilities, no doorman)
41 Ave B (laundry, video intercom)
94 E 4th St (laundry, dishwasher)
280 E 2nd St – this one is rent stabilized, and has the works – laundry, fitness center, private running track, etc. I would start here to see if they have any vacancies.
Well I hope this helps!! Good luck with your search!
A million $ should get you a nice place, but not a luxury apartment. A nice spot by the sea can be rented for around $2500 – 6000$ per month.
This epartment for an instance is 2500$ a month, and what I would describe as a nice place – http://www.hascarot.com/BoardPic.asp?board=0&id=37654
Not sure what you had in mind though.
You could try a place called The Miracle Star in Malibu, its a wonderful place to live. My cousin lives there and I believe he only pays $1,300/month. Check it out.
My guess would be that they started builting low income apartments in ALL areas of a city to redistribute po folk amoung the medium and rich folk. That way their intermingling would bring the po folk up and alleviate the problems that come with cluster slums or just poorer areas of town. I found out this works well in theory but isn't always done as in smaller towns the powers that be don't want to live too close to low income apartments
